Arsenal’s historic Premier League title win has been overshadowed by a tragic event in Uganda, where a fan was allegedly beaten to death during the celebrations. Mikel Arteta's team had just secured the club's first top-flight trophy in twenty-two years with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last week.
This massive achievement sparked widespread celebrations among supporters across Uganda, a country where the English football club enjoys a massive and passionate fan base. However, the joyful atmosphere quickly took a deadly turn in the capital city of Kampala. A thirty-four-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, identified by authorities only as Denis, lost his life after an alleged altercation following the match.

Denis had reportedly been watching the pivotal title-deciding game at a local viewing centre in his home suburb of Bakuli. According to Kampala police spokeswoman Rachel Kawala, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday evening last week.
Preliminary police reports indicate that the victim, who was actively supporting Arsenal during the game, got into a misunderstanding with another man at the venue. The authorities have identified this suspect as Musiramu, who is said to be a fan of rival club Manchester United. The argument between the two supporters rapidly escalated, ultimately leading to Denis being fatally beaten. Following the shocking attack, local police immediately launched an active manhunt to track down the suspect and bring him to justice.
